BT Tower Competition - London - Jan 25 '12Animators ahoy. Ever glanced dreamily upwards and imagined what it might be like to see your work light up the skyline?
Well dream no more. For this brief, arts project somewhereto_ and the BT Tower are offering you an incredible opportunity – to have your animation or digital video art screened on the 620ft BT Tower, one of London's most famous landmarks! somewhereto_ is a nationwide project that helps young people find the space they need to do the things they love within sport, culture and the arts. Run by youth engagement agency Livity, in media partnership with Channel 4 Education, the project is funded by Legacy Trust UK and aims to create a lasting impact from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by funding ideas and local talent across the UK. We’re calling on IdeasTap members aged 16 to 25 to submit their original animations and the best will be shown on the giant LED screens encircling the top of the tower, the largest of their kind in Europe, from 31 January. The judges will be looking out for creativity, originality, quality and innovation. Due to the long shape of of the screens, your video needs to be 1475 x 120 pixels. This brief closes on 25 January 2012 and is open to all UK-based IdeasTap members aged 16 to 25. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute. Please contact info@ideastap.com if you have technical issues. Click here for terms and conditions.
