AniMazSpot 2010 updateWe’re up to our ears in prep for our second annual animated shorts festival.
This is going to be our last blast before our September 4 & 5 weekend. If you want see how August goes, there are two ways: Visit our website at http://www.animazspot.com or sign up for our facebook group on our site’s Home page. News, such as the announcement of the nominees and winners, will only be on the web site and facebook group page this year. Since we have less seats available at this year’s festival, we’re expecting a sell-out audience, so we highly recommend buying reserved seats, now available on our site until Aug. 26 Here are a few highlights for our second festival: Lou Romano has designed a Juggler to represent this year’s festival. The festival includes programs with Teddy Newton of Pixar, Tom Sito on Animation & Politics, Fred Crippen looks back, Ucla Film Archives presents the great work of Robert Abel, Women in Animation will move us from shorts to dollars, The audience can vote for their favorite nominated short, and, awards will be presented by animation professionals, at the Closing Night Ceremony, preceded by a special reception. The Best of Festival winner will get the first Bozu Bronze designed by Larry Loc Plus, we offer Sponsorships, Advertising, Booths, and a full range of Collectables for purchase and auction, and a Pledge Drive leading up to tax exempt status for our California non profit organization. All the details can be found by clicking the Juggler’s big white panel at the top of our web site’s Home page. Oh, and we had a nice turnout for our event at Siggraph. Oh, and we are now open for entries for our 2011 festival #3.
