Public Art Club - Gulf Oil Disaster - Call For EntriesCall for Entries: Visual Response to Gulf Oil Disaster hosted by CSUN Public Art Club
Participate in an international visual response to the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill, organized by The Foster Collective. The show will be exhibited at the Manzanita Gallery at Cal State University, Northridge. October 17, 2011 through December 9, 2011 Closing Reception: TBA Gallery Hours: Monday through Fridays 9:00am - 8:00pm* Saturdays 10:00am - 5:00pm* All entries must be on gas station paper towels. You can draw, paint, collage or write directly on the paper towel. Or, glue or tape your artwork/photograph to the paper towel. Paper towels can be found at any gas station and are usually in the same container as the windshield squeegee. Requirements: Leave 1 inch margin at top for hanging. Submit the whole paper towel. Do not cut or add to the dimensions. Write your name, email address, and location on the back. One entry/person. Entries have been exhibited in Chicago and Huntsville, Alabama and we are currently looking for additional venues.
