Dear Animation artists, Producers, Friends!

We are proud to announce the dates of the 2nd Edition of the International Animation Film Festival “GOLDEN KUKER – Sofia” - from 28th September to 2 October 2011 in “ARENA-West” cinema in Sofia – the capital of Animation in Bulgaria.

We invite you to submit your animation films to the International Animation Film Competition until the 31st of July 2011 either on a DVD, or online by uploading it to an ftp and sending us the link to the file.

Please read the Regulations and fill out and submit the Entry Form no later than 15th of July 2011!

IAFF “GOLDEN KUKER – Sofia”, is a forum that celebrates the art of Animation -- also called the Art of arts for it contains all other arts.

Here is the place where experimentation, originality, crossing over new artistic approaches and forms take place and where animation is presented as a creative narrative or aesthetic expression made relevant by the intertwining of fine and applied arts, performing arts, music, etc. The main goal of IAFF “GOLDEN KUKER – Sofia” is the presentation and promotion of the world’s best animation, especially animation made by young artists.

This year the festival’s program includes a Competition, Informational and Retrospectives programmes; Workshop and Exposition on Animation, as well as Animators’ meetings.

This year you will be competing in 14 Categories for 17 Awards, which are:

“The Kuker” Grand Prize for Best Animated Film

“Proyko Proykov” Special Prize for Best Film Made for Children

Special Prize for Best European Animated Film

Special Audience Award

Best Short Animated Film (up to 10 min)

Best Animated Film (from 10 to 50 min)

Best Feature Animated Film (50 min and up)

Best Debut Film

Best Student Film

Best Independent Film

Best Film Episode from TV series

Most Original Film

Best Experimental Film

Best Educational Film

Best Film Made for Web

Best Commercial/Music Video

Best Film Made in the Balkans
