This was sent in by a good friend who noticed that #8 on this list of the top cartoon theme songs of the 1980s was none other than The Spiral Zone.

Hooray! It made it somewhere.

No two people will choose the same thing on a best of list.

Here's another lineup of the Top 10 cartoon theme songs of the 90s. The YouTube poster says their not in order, so here's the way they play.

I've never seen most of those, but I'm curious- what's Spiral Zone?

Mighty Orbots would be mine for #1 song & animation, but hey- it's on the 80s list.

Funny that Simpsons wasn't in the 90s list.

Jeff, Spiral Zone is the first series I art directed. It's very significant for its history as it affected the animation industry during its production. It was controlled by Tonka Toys and came out at the peak of the toy based cartoons of the 1980s. Its production is an involved story, one that should be told. I'll get to it someday on the forums.

At least its theme song is remembered!

Why limit this to the 80s and 90s?

Here's a couple of timeless theme songs for an animated series.

Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can.

This has 13,335,552 as of this posting. That is one popular theme song.
