YouTube cartoons are better than TV cartoons...

... according to the experts.

And who are these experts you might ask?

The ones who ultimately matter.

KIDS

That's what they were telling me tonight while we were talking about what's happening with the Internet. They brought new content to my attention.

Check out this cartoon from the toy company Fisher- Price.

It's called Imaginext Adventures....

Yes! It's great to see animators going for it in other than traditional venues.

People say 2D is dead. Not by a long shot. It all calls for great writing and great animation and direction like the classic WB toons.

Do work that good and you'll see awesome results.

Right you are Greg!

Unfortunately the YouTube video I posted of Imaginext Adventures is no longer available.

How can YouTube cartons be better than TV if they're not on YouTube? :D

Here's a couple of episodes in another language besides English. At least viewers can get an idea as to what I was referring to.

When people ask me what type of animation I want to do, I usually reply with, "Either TV or online animation" (online basically meaning Youtube). Sometimes I have to explain a little bit that there are some really good quality animations on Youtube, and that lots of people make a living off of just animating for Youtube. I think eventually they will basically become on and the same.
