November 30 2003 - SaveDisney 10 years later

Remember when Walt's nephew Roy Disney went up against Michael Eisner in a protracted campaign over the control of the company?

That was 10 years ago on November 30.

Amazing how time just flies by.

So here we are a decade later. What has changed at Disney as a result?

To begin with...

Michael Eisner left a year early.

Disney merged with Pixar.

Roy Disney passed away.

Disney bought Marvel.

And what about the fight to save traditional hand drawn animation?

I guess it's frozen. ;)

I'll always remember what Roy tried to accomplish. It was a very positive thing at a crucial time. Really rallied the troops for a while.
