hello PEOPLE Of Animation Nation!
my name is Denny and i'm new to this board/forum and i have a passion for art!
i love to draw comics, and cartoons, make videos, write stories, being generally creative in everything i do etc.

But here's the thing! I really love animation and i would love to learn how to either do 2d or 3d animation on some of my drawings/sketches that i've drawn. and with those animations i will be using them to upload content via youtube for my channel. so, now, My question is....what are some programs that i 8-), a beginner to animation could start out with?

Welcome to AN Denny!

Start out with a pencil and paper.

Good software for traditional 2D animation... Flash, Toonboom, TVPaint, Flipbook by Digicel, Photoshop has an animation feature, After Effects, Celaction 2D, etc.

3D / CG software would include Blender (it's free), Maya, 3D StudioMax, etc.

CG character sculpting would be ZBrush, Mudbox among others.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter to name a few for digital illustration.

There's more but this is a good list of professional industry centric software to research that will help you advance creatively.

Good luck!
