Amazing isn't it? All the things people don't know about how chronic the lack of involvement is within the unionized animation community. The community that should be leading the way in pro-activity. Nurtured apathy, non-existent leadership, fear, blacklisting...
And to top it off the VFX community which is the only aspect of Hollywood talent labor that isn't unionized can't get their poopoo together to save their lives. Literally.
All the latent power and influence that's lying just beneath the surface like a huge vein of gold and artists can't tap into it. Very sad and troubling.
They'll go out of their way to do nothing.
Well not all of them.
Quite a few independents are doing pretty darn good thanks to crowdfunding and being acclimated to a rugged environment over the years.
Studio artists are at their pro-active best when the times are desperate. Maybe we'll see a few things change this year.
