LeSean Thomas - 'Seoul Sessions' - Episode 1

Here's a unique look at life in animation production from LeSean Thomas.

He's recently returned to America after living in Seoul, South Korean for 3 years producing several projects independently. LeSean recorded his time and experience there working with Korean animation studios and directors that the major networks outsource to in producing their action shows, primetime and Saturday morning cartoons.

LeSean recently partnered up with online television network Creative Control TV and put together a series of video journals covering his adventures. It's called "Seoul Sessions."

Episode 1 of "Seoul Sessions" gives us a peek into the life of LeSean who's a South Bronx, NYC native and TV Animation Producer/Director. He's worked on The Boondocks, The Legend of Korra, and the upcoming Black Dynamite: The Animated TV Series. We follow him through the animation studios of Seoul, South Korea getting a behind the scenes and intimate look at society and how the animation production process in Korea works.

Here's the first episode of Seoul Sessions...




Volume 2 of Seoul Sessions will be up Jun 30, 2012 with more to follow as monthly installments.

We heard from LeSean Thomas and Seoul Sessions Episode 2 is online.

Seoul Sessions is a peek into the life of South Bronx, NY native & TV Animation Producer/Director LeSean Thomas (The Boondocks, The Legend of Korra, Upcoming Black Dynamite: The Animated TV Series) as we follow him through the animation studios of Seoul, South Korea and the process of what he does there for a living.

Episode 3 is expected by July 30.

Here's LeSean Thomas in his final episodes of "Seoul Sessions".

His adventures in the animation world of Korea have been very intriguing. He's been there for a year and a half. What I find most interesting is that the traditional hand drawn process is very much alive and well over there. Check out these excellent videos.
