'Jawbreaker' - Don Bluth animation from the 80s

I was working at DIC in the early days of the studio's presence in the US when they were in Studio City on Ventura Blvd. I think it was early 1985, when Phil Mendez brought in a video tape of a project he was developing.

He raised the financing to do a trailer for something called called "Jawbreaker" which Don Bluth animated. This was just after Secret of Nimh, around the time of the Dragon's Lair and Space Ace video games Don had animated through his studio which was also on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City.

Years has passed and this eveing I was discussing this with my class at Cal State Northridge.

Lo and behold, Jawbreaker is on YouTube!

When I saw this for the first time I was blown away by it. Great to be able to enjoy it again after all this time.
