Fletcher is up!

Postby DanFletc » Mon Feb 21, 2011 5:00 am

Hi Everybody,

I just posted this week's Fletcher episode:

Cougar writes fan fiction for the Gaslight Ghoul, which is a character I made up for the series. So it's a fiction about fan fiction about a fictional character. Yeah, another one of THOSE. :)

Hope you like!

At first glance I mistook Cougar for a cougar, but after watching your video I see that he is indeed a character in your series.

As with your Valentines Day video, the strength of this is the dialogue which is well written and handled nicely, and I learned something from this.

Consider developing the aesthetics of your series. For example, when Cougar raised him arm, I noticed that his hand had no fingers. I think if you developed the design a little more it'll help get the look of the film on par with the interesting dialogue.

The look of your project is important. In places where you can further develop it, I think you should. The more you progress with the design, the more visually appealing it will be and you'll expand your audience.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Thanks for posting the link to the latest episode of Fletcher, Dan. Looking forward to the next entry.

Thank you very much, Charles!

I am still developing the feel of the series. On the one hand, I want the kind of comic-strip surrealism (I tend to think of it as Bill Waterson-ish) while still be solid enough to seem real.
Thanks for the input!
