Gerald McBoing Boing - greatest animated short of all time?

Postby Charles » Wed Jan 19, 2011 6:43 pm

Produced by UPA in 1950, adapted from a Dr. Suess tale, it set a new standard for animation. It was so absolutely brilliant in its design, story and narrative that it won the Academy Award that year for Best Animated Short, and it ranks in my opinion as one of the greatest animated short films of all time.

If you've never seen it, please take a moment to watch the video and appreciate this truly timeless gem.

Never heard of this one and never knew a Dr Seuss's story was done like that. Interesting. Great short animation for 1950.
