The Adventures of the High King

This animation was part of an assignment where the objective was to create a short animation which features an engaging story communicates the driving force behind your character's personality and what he/she wants to achieve.

In this case, the High King wants nothing more than wealth and power. This short shows him becoming engulfed by his own greed and selfishness towards others.

I wanted to show a wide range of emotion with this piece as well as believable animation. This is my second attempt at creating a character from the beginning.

I created, rigged, painted, animated and edited this short in the space of two weeks. I am happy with the final outcome of my animation.

The final short was to be 30 seconds in length, however, I over stepped this and my animation ended up being 44 seconds.

Feedback would be appreciated :)

That's a lot of work for a 2 week effort Jon! You did a nice job. The basic idea of the narrative came through along with a sufficient acting to get the idea across as to what's what.

Here's the embeded video. Thanks for posting and good luck with the next step up.
