Student animator wanted for video gameStudents,
A group of USC alums and free-lance professionals are building a game to be released on XBOX Live via the independent games platform. It’s a small, independent project with big potential for everyone involved. The game itself is a 2D side-scroll/platform/puzzle/ combat game with elements from games like Mario Bros, Braid, Limbo, and Castle Crashers. It takes place in a unique world that is somewhat fantasy-based and the main heart and soul of the game is cooperative play. The dedicated team is creating this game as a way to gain “industry” and “shipped title” experience which is key for getting better, professional jobs in the industry. The game is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. We are mid-production and much of the animation work is done, however we need an additional animator to help us cross the finish-line. We need someone to help us breathe life into some of our NPC/creatures and possible some of the main characters. We are looking for someone that has experience with Adobe After Effects Puppet tool or similar tool for animating existing art components. Interested persons should be able to manage their own time and completion of assigned tasks. Additionally, only individuals who are willing to commit to the project until completion will be considered. There is no up-front pay for anyone on this project but full credit will be given and any revenue generated from game sales will be distributed evenly among the team. If you are ready to put your skills behind a serious project that will be recognized by the industry please contact Chris Riffey at contact@chrisriffey.com Please include links to samples of your work for consideration.
