Re: We know what you're doingThere have been conspiracy theories on the internet for the past 5 years linking facebook with the CIA and DARPA for the purpose of gathering as much information on as many people as possible for the convenience of our government.
Don't know if any of these theories hold water, but why bother to wiretap if everybody freely spews their activities all over their facebook pages. I'm just saying ...
Re: We know what you're doingI'm not so sure those are "conspiracy theories" because the government has already showed us that they're watching facebook. I've stopped using that phrase for a while now since a lot of "theories" turned out to be fact, but that's beside the point. People have to do their own research and ignore the jokers who join the media gameshow.
For people using facebook, what I'd advise is to log out when you're done chatting and delete your cookies. That way you can minimize chances of your continued browsing from being tracked, even if it's only facebook doing the tracking at the time. Or use one browser for facebook and another one for browsing. There's more you can do but there are the basics.
