Animation classes/summer program?

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to take animation courses? I've looked into the Animation Academy in Burbank, but they just told me that they weren't doing any sort of computer animation/using computers at all.

I'm not looking for a degree/can't afford anything too expensive (which is what the majority of what I'm finding falls into). Any suggestions? I'm in the LA area.

There's also the annual animation workshop sponsored by Cal State University in the summer. This year it's in Monterrey Bay.
