It looks as if they copped GWAR totally, watered it down a lot, and upped the production budget. Similar music, similar costumes, only without the detachable eyeball-dong, muck-covered slaves, firehose-velocity blood spray from severed limbs, crack-addacited dinosaurs, evil robot religious figureheads, and the aborted baby choir.
You decide which is more raw cool fun!

Back in the early 90's.. I was dating this punk rock girl who was harcore Christian (go figure).. so hardcore, that she believed dinosaur bones were buried in the earth by god to test our beliefs. Yes... Really.
Like the dumbazz I am.. I took her to a Gwar concert, because a month earlier, I saw them with friends, and they had put on one of the best stage shows I had ever seen.. lots of horror s f/x..
So, we're sitting there.. waiting for them to go on, ...and Gwar marches through the crowd with a huge upside down cross.. pentagram.. torches and goat skin.. and marches up to stage.. their theme that night.. NO horror show.. just devil worshipping. It was tongue in cheek.. but guess who never got to (censored) her ..EVER??

She described her date with me to mutual friends "The most horific night of my life" lol!
Even though GWAR rocked that night, I couldn't listen to them again afterwards.
Not because of the Devil worshipping..

Squarejaw, as an American, this is the absolute first time I've ever had any definite interest in the Eurovision Song Contest... I'll bet you dollars to donuts all the TV networks here are scrambling to figure out a way to copy it.
Maybe a 50 state wide competition..
