I call this one Dodgy English Tourist Pre-Police Scam
Well, back from Russia. Whatta trip... whether it was dancing the night away at the Hungry Duck, THE most notorious club in Europe (apparently, and if the continuous stripteases were anything to go by, definitely) or snapping my camera away inside the Kremlin, I had a damn good time. Whatever negatives you head about Moscow (I never made it to St Petes, thanks to nasty desk clerk at the trains station)are probably true, but nothing bad happened to me. It's very European, very cosmopolitan, has the best transport network of all the cities I've been to (trains are bang on time every time, even the metro, and every car is a cheap taxi) and even has some good resteraunts. Telling what's real and fake and putting up with the Russian attitude and pushiness takes some getting used to though.
As for Russian women... well, didn't get to meet many as I was with a bunch of Malay student friends for most of my stay, but there are hardly any fugly ladies out there. They're all pretty stunning. Strange, considering the almost medieval appearence of the menfolk and, if you'll excuse me for saying so, hair so bad it makes you Americans look good .
BTW I DID see some space equipment over there for sale (it's on the streets of Moscow). Bought a guard hat instead.

Umm... I hate to ask, but why does the individual in the mullet-picture look disturbingly familiar? Is he/she/it someone we should know?
Squarejaw - great photo. Hang onto it, it'll be one of your faves in 20 years time.

Eeps... I meant the one of you standing in front of the Kremlin. Not the mullet-picture.
Just to clarify...

I submitted that mullet picture to my high school 10 year reunion committee.. as it being me. They put together a sort of "where are they now?" Booklet.
They published it, and at the 10 year reunion (I didn't go) people asked friends of mine: "What the hell happened to Gary?" And he told them: "He moved to California" And they reacted: "Ooooh!" (as if that explained it.. )
