Here's an odd one.
Friend of mine actually has a vest Jimi Hendrix left at her house years ago. She never washed it or anything and just had it in storage all these years. Her husband is a famous music executive and let her have the vest.
Dude called her up to put it up for auction on Ebay and he wanted to give her stupid money for this thing. For authenticity she's got pics of Hendrix wearing this thing and an authorized letter from her husband.
I met Hendrix twice as a wee kid and that's about it.
How much do you Hendrix fans and Ebay gurus think she can get for it?

I'm a huge Hendrix fan but I doubt I'd be able to outbid Paul Allen for it.
Greg, that's cool that you got to meet the man when you were a tyke. What were the circumstances?

A few years back, I actually ran into Richard Simmons out in an LA recording studio ....
Scariest Fricken' day of my life...
We were recording a TV spot in the sound studio right next to the one he was in (apparently he was working on one of his Deal-A-meal things).
So any way - we had just wrapped and the sound engineer was rewinding the tracks (I guess it was more than a few years back if he was rewinding). I hear this high pitched voice yell from the doorway "..wha-da-ya-guys doin'??? Recording tampon ads or something!" I turn around and the outline of a short sqaut man with an eight inch afro is standing in the doorway. I just about froze. But as soon as he had entered he left like a breeze - lighter than air I suppose! I turned to the engineer and remarked "What the Hell was that?" he replied "Oh that's Richard he's in here all the time"!
I kid you not - This actually happened!
What does this have to do with Hendrix - Absolutely nothing (except for the afro connection!
Maybe?

Paul Allen is a Hendrix fan?
Oh, I met Hendrix twice. Well the first time was at a distance at Woodstock when I was a wee lad.
The second time I can't talk about. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Greg, Paul Allen is a giant Hendrix fan and has the world's largest collection of Hendrix memoribilia.
And sorry bud, but seeing Jimi onstage from... how far away?... at Woodstock doesn't count as 'meeting'.
