Sorry to bug you again fella's.
I know a lot of you are going to say stuff like, someone who creates an illusion of life or something, but I have this really annoying teacher who just keeps calling himself an animator over and over, but because of what he has "taught" us, everyone in my class, including myself, disagrees with him. This guy keeps saying to take the easiest way out. And I don't mean keep the drawings simple, but to tween everything in Flash kind of simple. This guy has never said anything about acting. He always jammering about After Effects filters, and particle effects. His class is called animation techniques, but he hasn't taught us a single technique yet. Some of my classmates were doing a film in stop-motion. He didn't like the sound of that, and tried to discourage them. While they were working on it, he said he couldn't give them any help. Turns out, our animation techniques teacher had never used this technique before! Then when he saw the result, he said: "Hey, that's very nice, maybe I'm gonna try and make a film in stop-motion some day." And here's the real kicker: he openly admitted to me, more than once, that I could draw way better than him! In fact, he can't really draw very well at all. Sure, he's an idea-man, a very artistic one, not entirely my taste. But would you still consider him to be an animator? Even though he can only use the computer to make sub-standard tween stuff?
Sigh.... maybe I should take this over to the psychiatry board.... ![[Gary]](graemlins/banghead.gif)
