Fall 2008 Programs at the Gordon R. Howard Museum of the Burbank Historical Society
Saturday, September 20, 2008 Video Program, "The Rise and fall of the US Train Empire" This program details how the American railroad system was built and the many factors that caused its downfall. Includes many historical interviews and photos. 45 minutes
Saturday, October 18, 2008 "They Died With Their Boots On" Louis Kraft, Author and Historian, will speak on the making of this film and the behind the scenes story of Errol Flynn & Olivia de Havilland who starred in the movie. (Costumes used in the film are on display in our Warner Bros exhibit.)
Saturday, November 22, 2008 "Inside the Skunk Works" A peek inside this secret unit of Lockheed Aircraft Co. where many of their most famous aircraft were designed and produced. Speaker Ed Glasgow will discuss life in the Skunk Works.
All programs are free and start at 2:00 PM in the Cunningham Room of the Museum (2nd Floor).
