Hi guys,

Tried to post this on the "Festivals and Events" board, but apparently don't have the proper permissions.

The Los Angeles chapter of The Animation Co-op will hold a project pitch session on Saturday, March 6th, at 8:00pm. Please refer to the Co-op's "events" page for location and RSVP information:

http://www.animationcoop.org/

If you would like to pitch a project, please contact us as soon as possible so that we may make the necessary arrangements.

I've got a suggestion for the next meeting of the co-op. I'm sure you'll have at least 15 people there. Why not collect a dollar from each person in attendance and use the money to purchase a subscription to AN's Independent Economy.

We've been very tolerant of the continual promotion of the co-op for many months on AN, contrary to the policies that have been established concerning promotion outside the bounds of a subscribed membership. I've even plugged the organization on this site as a courtesy.

I don't think it's fair to our subscribed members to continually self promote on a general memebership. I suggest participating in the forum dialogues while being respectful of this site's policies and refrain from promotion. Please be consistent with the guildelines of a general membership. Thanks in advance for cooperating.

Moving the topic to Festivals and Events.

Hi Charles,

Many in the Animation Nation community are also active participants in The Animation Co-op, so I am sure that they share our appreciation of your tolerance (especially those in the Orlando area, who have suffered much and seem excited about the formation of a local chapter). Far from constituting self-promotion or a disservice to your subscribed members, announcements regarding The Animation Co-op are for the sole purpose of alerting interested parties to the activities of this grassroots, non-profit support network for independent animators. The Co-op is an altruistic entity, consistent with the stated goals of Animation Nation, and I hope that your tolerance of it will continue.

Sincerely,
Kevin Geiger

If that's the case, then kindly forward future co-op announcements to one of the moderators or to info[[at]]animationnation.com and one of us will post it here on Festivals and Events. Please do not take it upon yourself to make the announcement on the General Discussion Forum or on any other forum on AN. Please do not feature a link to your web site unless a subscribed membership is established.
