What, you're leaving out us animators, Gary? Well that's fine! I didn't want to animate the perfect crime anyway! And I was gonna do it in 3d too!
P.S.: I'm expecting a lot of Eisner drawings in this challenge...

I like this idea of the "Perfect Crime".. Could be anything.. Pies cooling in a window.. Getting more change than expected at a fast food restaurant... A stolen base in Baseball.. (thanks again Dave Roberts)
Can't wait to get started~

Yes, you are not only showing off your drawing skills.. but your creativity as well.
Keep in mind.. people in charge of hiring artists read these threads! This is a great opportunity to get some exposure among the animation community.
But don't let that intimidate you! Just something to keep in mind.

Tron.. I didn't mean to leave out Animators! My bad.
Animators are more than welcome!
Animating a character stealing something can be short and sweet, or activating a crazy security system.. could be 10 seconds of animation. We're all animation junkies.. we don't need ink and paint.. we'll take animation in any form!!!
And remember! The earlier you submit something, the more chances of someone encorporating it into their submission!
There could be animators out there with no idea.. maybe see some boards or a script or some ch. designs and get inspired.
Keep it fun!!

Am I missing something? What's with the Monkeys and Cheese? I don't get the joke. Is it like a Donkey Punch or something? Why not Squirrels and Hummus? Penguins and Mustard? Cows and Bread? Is this comedy? ... If it is.. i'm working too hard.

The lack of submissions for this challenge is making me seriously question the talents and creativity of this board. Oooh! You've all just been served!

HARNY, a rabbit with CHUNKS out of his LEFT EAR and MUTZO a strange dog coyote creature are talking as a stump of a cactus that has been turned into a bar. Harny is spit cleaning some hollowed out cans.
Harny So, yer gunna steal his sammich while he ain't lookin'.
Mutzo Devious, isn't it?
Harny Well,... it seems purty pathetic tah me
Mutzo begins GESTURING more BROADLY with each GRAND PRONOUNCEMENT
Mutzo (manic) Yes, to the vacant eye of one who doesn't understand STRATEGY this might seem petty, BUT to the eye that sees the divine streams of chance and circumstance intemingling in a torrent of possibility it is sheer BRILLIANCE. A method to undermine his spirit and destroy his soul. Hee Heeee...
Harny COCKS one eye brow and LEANS over to get a closer LOOK at Mutzo
Harny Wow, you rally worked this all out, didn'cha?
Mutzo turns slightly away to hide his DEVILISH GLEE.
Mutzo (to himself) It's the perfect crime....
Harny So what if the....hey Nutzo! Nutzo?....
Mutzo turns slightly more away to hide his REVERIE.
Mutzo (to himself) I'm so Happy....
Harny LEANS back and LOOKS sideways at the plotting pooch.
Harny The only crime was what yer mother did with that coyote.
