This is just some digital sketchbook stuff that is c/p'd into one image file.
Don't look for rhymes or reasons.
Though there is a simile....

OK. i guess there was a reason for posting the above collection of characters. Some of them were possible candidates for an avatar image. But, I really am half-hearted when it comes to try and pick a good representative image for myself. Soooo, if anyone thinks that one or part of one would look OK as an avatar, let me know. The drunk as a skunk one, the visual similie, doesn't look so hot shrunk down, but either the head or the bottle would work. ____________________________ On another note, since there is a 3 image limit in the forum, I thought I'd post a page I did. It is the first of a 5 page short story. The deal is that I removed the words and the title (which would be in the gray panel) and am curious if it reads well, looks good.

I know the lighting and shadows aren't as good as it should be and the windows in the first and last panels aren't perfectly matched.

i like your characters gergs, i'd use the skunk of course. as fer the page, i'd say that the look of the characters and the look of the background could be unified a little better, maybe some stronger shadows on both would do it, also i think, that the silouettes would work better if their bottom joined the black around the panel, somehow the feet on the blue background bugs my eye. nice work though, its unique stuff.

musashi , danke, shane.
The only problem with the skunk is that when the stinker is reduced, the image loses a lot. It just doesn't look groovy at 64x64 pixels. That's a drag. The one avatar I'm leaning towards is one that isn't shown above. I put it together last week and put some spit and polish on it this past weekend. It is both simple and charming. So, it is completely ironic enough to use (haha!) ---- On the page comments: again, thanks. All of your observations are valid. When I get a chance to continue it I'll try finishing it by keeping your suggestions in mind. The trick is that candle and the windows are the only two light sources I have in the page. Obviously, the candle light is tricky because of the shadows it casts. --= And, j-dog, if you happen across this here thread. Thanks for your comments on that J Carson memorial doodle I posted some months back. Appreciate it, dog.
