I don't know. I just don't get these "newer" Peanuts shows. There wasn't any real humor in it. Marcie in a love triangle with Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown? C'mon. Does that really play with kids?
The animation seemed to harken back to the classics, but what was with the "tired eyes"? The bully and Charlie Brown looked like they were going to fall asleep at any moment.
I heard Schutlz worked on it, but it just seemed so forced...

There wasn't much humor in the older ones, either.

Really? As a kid, I alway thought, for example in the Thanksgiving special, that Snoopy getting caught in the garage and the whole thing with the chair was very funny. Also, making Woodstock get dressed up (which they conviently cut out last night).

I only saw the end of it. Charles Schulz stipulated before he died that any posthumous Peanuts special would have to be based on his strips.
