I'm happy to report that I worked with Insomniac Games on their big breakthrough project, Spyro the Dragon. They are a top notch group of guys who are an example to the rest of the industry. They are an independent company. When others sold out to Sony and other mega conglomerates, they've stayed independent and have been very successful.

Ted Price, the president of the company is about as first rate as they come. Although every situation has its good and bad, I've heard nothing but good things about Insomniac.

They're a world class developer of video games who've won some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. In my opinion, anyone who gets in with them is lucky to be there.

It also says on their job posting page at AN that they give away free food to the employee's!

That has to be a plus, especially if it isn't high school cafeteria grade...

As someone who has worked in the games industry, I would have to say that they consistently put out a high quality product. The art/characters/animation is above and beyond most of what is out there.

I'm not sure what they are like to work for, but their games sure are pretty! Your games get noticed, too. Marketing is a huge part of that industry, and they seem to get marketed pretty well.

Ever hear of "Rise of the Kasai "? That's the game I worked on. See what I mean about the importance of marketing?

Floyd...I work in the games industry as well. Rise of the Kasai and it's predecessor Mark of Kri are absolutely beautiful games...you should be proud of the work you've done.

As for Insomniac...I have a handful of friends who work there. They are a top company. The work is hard...but they are all rewarded for their efforts.

And they make sweet games.
