It appears as if the gay bomb will have been detonated in the future.

Well, they got the global warming thing, and the big colour T.V.s with the cable carried programming. I don't think anyone ever takes this kind of speculation seriously, let alone from a kid's comic book. I'm still waiting for hover cars, holidays on the moon, and the rest, it's actually a surprise when amongst all the usual hyperbole they even get something half right.

They almost seem to have predicted the Death Star with those "man made moons". And beef manufactured in labs? Aren't they already working on cloning cows for their meat? As in "I'll have a cloned beef on rye!". Wasn't that discussed here on this board? Hopefully we'll still have those hot dogs that "have to answer to an even higher authority".

Animagus, the Death Star concept was fully fleshed out in an episode of "Lost In Space". I forget the title of the episode but it had a scene where a planet would travel the universe engaging in war destroying worlds.

Anyhow, the toon above is the stuff I love to read. I remember as a kid reading about how in the year 2000 we'd have flying cars, moving sidewalks, talking dogs who couldn't pronounce S, but used R's instead, flying jetpacks and of course domed cities.

We lost all that to disagreements, hate, greed, the things that make for good Biblical copy.
