The Weinstein Company will be releasing "Arthur and the Invisibles" nationwide in the US on January 12, 2007.

I don't know how this movie is going to play. Reviews have been terrible, but that might not make any difference. The commercials I've seen make the movie look a lot like a video game. I've heard other people say the same thing. So audiences might stay away thinking they're not interesting in watching a video game on a big screen.

Judging from the results of the poll, it looks like there was a thought that Arthur and the Invisibles would do a little better on its opening weekend.
According to BoxOfficeMojo, the film came in 9th and projections for the 4 day weekend put the numbers around $5,805,000.
