Annual renewals for accounts subscribed to the Independent Economy are coming up.
Here's the renewal dates for the first accounts.
There'll be a 30 day grace period to make payment from the subscription due date if you'd like to renew.

Will my subscription automatically renew if I do nothing, or do I have to actually do something with my paypal account?

Inkan, I don't know if Paypal will automatically renew subscriptions or not. I'm assuming that they won't, but I'm not sure.
In any case, it won't be difficult to renew an IE account if a member would like to. There's a 30 grace period we're allowing following the due date of payment.
In your situation, your subscription isn't up until July 31, so you'll have until the end of August to make payment. An easy way of doing this would be to simply re-subscribe through Paypal.

Charles, to answer your question from earlier in the thread, PayPal does allow you to setup recurring payments. I haven't looked into the details but I imagine it is relatively easy. There's a link for "Subscriptions and Recurring Payments" under the Merchant Tools button (at least how I'm logged in).
In the meantime I'm just going subscribe again.

Ah.. I just subscribed and the subscription is definitely listed in my PayPal account as renewing automatically every year. (I paid by check last year, so it's all good.)

Greg, I'll be posting the renewal dates for the first 110 IE members in a few minutes. You're good until September 26. You subscribed originally by sending in a check.
And if you want to make a substantial contribution to the IE, that's would be a marvelous thing but I'd be happy having you with us for another year for $15.

Charles, I notice that you are in the process of setting up a visa payment option for the T-shirts. Are you doing the same for IE renewals? That's something that would be handy.
Also could you post the 'snail mail' address where we can send a renewal check, for those of us that don't have paypal?
