Outstanding and first rate! Thanks for posting this Dermot, not only is your art impressive and excellent, the story is inspiring. I learned something new from this.

This is museum exhibition-quality work. This doesn't belong on a blog! This should be in a book on a Borders front-of-the-store shelf.
A phrase I'd like to use is, "I have seen worse art published as such & put on a Barnes & Noble shelf." Your set has a compelling, exhaustively-researched story + detailed artwork. Remarkable, shockingly so at parts, always on all counts.

Your art is very inspiring! You have skills all across the spectrum! Just a question: how long does each layout shot take to do and how many a day have to get done normally?
Thanks for sharing.

thanks Charles....yes...the story is a real piece of non-fiction!....amazing kid with a lot of audacity travelled alone to the island and beat the pros at their own game!
I had no time limit for this Richard....it's something I've doodled on a fair bit over the years but I did these pages in about 2 weeks . There is no client or pay....I just try not to waste toooo much time when I'm unemployed....which is sadly a lot these last few years. I may have to actually go get a REAL job someday soon.....last yr I was offered $300 to do a colour script on an entire feature film . Not a lot of opportunity here in Toronto
