As some of you may already know, I've been working with Tom Sito on a new TV show based on those two crazy car mechanics, Click and Clack.
Unfortunately, the show doesn't even have a name, so they've launched a contest to decide on one. Hey! the winner even gets a cameo in the show. How would you like to be a cartoon character on a PBS show?
C'mon! Name our lousy show.

Yeah! In one show a hippie dude drives an old VW bus. Then there's a huge Hummer like vehicle that we really rip. I love beating up on Hummers. It's Satan's vehicle.

Saw a small blurb from ASIFA that they are calling it "as the wrench turns." Working title? not good enough? I like it.

Well, strip my gears! You guys all came up with better names!
Anyway, we're working with Flash animation, so we're doing the best we can within a budget. Hope the show is funny. Click and Clack laugh at everything anyway.

Let me introduce you guys to the cast. That's Beth on the left. She's the young radio producer. That's Ray in the red shirt, and his brother, Tom. Next to Tom is "Stash," who is loosely based on Sito's uncle.
There are two other mechanics. Fidel, a snappy dresser who never gets a speck of oil or grease on his fancy suits. And Crusty, a black dude who use to be a college professor but now works as a mechanic.
We hope the show is fun. It hits PBS this summer in an evening slot.

Cool looking character designs! If they were stand-alone.
I Can't see kids giving a rat's as* about them... or the premise of the show.. as a kid I would have spent 1/2 a second on it, before reaching for the remote.
You should have made them animals or robots at least. and/or make the radio show about video games.. or toys, or monsters, aliens, or a crazy scientists or they are time traveling radio hosts who interview characters from the past. If you want the 'edutainment'
Just my 2 sense.

This new animated show , directed by Tom Sito, produced by Bill Kroyer (with story and development work from Floyd Norman, Karl Torge, Doug Berman, and Tom Minton among others. Character designs by Steve Silver) debuts tonight , July 9.
Check your local PBS listings for the time. It's airing tonight in several markets, but later in the week in other markets.

Bill Kroyer is producing. I thought Bill was over at R & H? I remember when Bill was the director on "Quest for Camelot" to bad he and Sue got booted, they had some good ideas on the direction of that movie but hey at least they stuck to their guns.

I saw the show yesterday, "Boston Blackout" and "Pasta Wars."
I liked the "Pasta Wars" episode better, it was funnier. There was a bit between shows with the brothers (live action). There is something different when they are on TV and on the radio compared to when they read/ act for the cartoon. I like them when they are themselves better if you know what I mean. I think the writing or the brothers acting could be better if we had that "car talk" stuff.
The animation is great, and the background as well. But the boards are great too, Mr. Fun;)

Yeah, Tom and Ray were born to be on radio. They're very funny guys, and are perfect for that medium.
Thanks for the compliments, in any case. The show may not be the "Citizen Kane" of animation, but our Flash animators do one heck of a job. All things considered, the Flash animation alone is pretty darn impressive.

Is this available of the air? I was pretty jazzed about it until I found out it runs on a night when I've got something else going on. Still jazzed about it, just bummed I can't watch it!
