haahah no charles. i think that's a little joke to maybe give the strips some more humor and a "backstory" of a tramp riding the railroads. the "laugh-out-loud cats" is definitely an internet joke.

he's taking all the typical remarks and language used and putting them into little stories. i didn't get the "lol cats" at first, but for some reason i love them now...which means i get ragged on at work haahahh.
btw the stips are really well done and funny.

Hey that's me! Though she called me "Ape Man" on Cute Overload. I guess I do need to grow up a bit.
I'm having a ball making these. The reaction from people has been really great too. Some people slowly figure out that they are not what they seem and like them all the more, and some people just get irked.
I've always wanted to get syndicated, but constantly met with the brick wall of rejection. Syndicates get thousands of submissions a year, the market is dwindling, and editors are really hesitant to add new strips to their papers. This has been a fun way to work around all that. The strip isn't actually drawn until someone orders them, and then I send them the original.
It's all grown organically (I just started them at the beginning of June), so I'm not sure what's in store, but I'm having great fun making and sharing them.
And if it wasn't for blogs like BoingBoing and Cute Overload, they wouldn't be around at all.
