I remember in elementary school the first day back for Christmas break, everyone would ask so what did you get for Christmas? It was fun to be able to compare and show what transformer or other new toy that I received. So I thought that I would start that topic, but to also elevate it a bit. So please share not only what everyone received, but more importantly what you did for others weither you celebrate Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa or any other holiday that you celebrate. (My apology if I mispelled or left out a holiday.) This is not meant as a bragging session, but as a time to share and extend the Holiday spirit.

This Christmas I received Lost Season 1, a Nintendo DS game and the new Walt Disney book. My favorite was the handmade picture frame with picture from my four year old. I also love watching him and the two year old open and get excited about his Thomas the Train engine and other gifts.
I enjoyed taking my four year old around to deliver treats to the neighbors and making pop-up cards for friends and acquaintances. I also enjoyed going to a musical production my church put on called Savior of the World. I created the programs and posters and my wife sang in the choir. It made me feel good to hear about how the production had affected some and to know that we were a very small part in it. I also enjoyed visiting with old friends at the union holiday party.

I received Stephen Silvers book. Great stuff. Also gotta love the King Kong, and Narnia extended dvd collection.
My family chose a family we didn't know in our neighborhood and set out on a secret "12 days of Christmas" mission. We left gifts every night. It was exciting for the kids as they tried not to get caught for 12 nights. It was fun.

One of the most memorable gifts I received was a really nice Christmas card from Paburrows. Custom made. A pop up card with a warm sentiment. Thanks Paul, much appreciated.

I visited me mum in Las Vegas and gave her a Sony DVD player and two dvd's: Donald Duck collection 1946-56 and Chip and Dale. They are her favorite cartoon characters. I hope they'll cheer her up whenever her winter depression sets in this year. Now the trouble is whether she'll remember how to operate the machine now that I am back at home!
