Just saw some stuff from this film today, including some animation tests and a rough version of the teaser due out soon.

It is *awesome*. I cannot wait for this one.

Has it been decided whether this is going to be a Summer or Christmas 2004 film?

Why is it that whenever I see the title THE INCREDIBLES, I get a huge smile on my face? Not that I'm not looking forward to FINDING NEMO for it's own merits, but I'm tellin' ya... I'd pay full admission just to see this teaser trailer... What with NEMO hitting May 30th, I'm looking forward to finally seeing some inclining as to the design of THE INCREDIBLES. Though they've played bigger roles in recent films, this will be the first time that people will be front and center in a Pixar production. And what with Bird's character designer from IRON GIANT (someone please remind me as I can't remember the gentleman's name), I think THE INCREDIBLES is going to look and feel just a bit different than the Pixar we've known up to now.

Marcus, Tony Fucile did the designs on Incredibles and much of IG. The guy is simply one of the very best in the industry, and a really nice guy to boot.

The character design on this film is a real departure from the 'standard' Pixar fare, as is the animation philosophy. The facial animation alone is a huge step forward. And the teaser is hilarious.

Pixar has raised the bar yet again.

Congratulations to Brad Bird and Tony Fucile. "The Incredibles" takes Pixar to a whole new level. The film is great. Even John Lasseter had to admit it's a kick butt movie.

Though purely speculation, I've always had the impression that this movie would be like bringing the early Marvel work of Kirby and Ditko to life. In a way, this could be the animated comic book superhero movie we've always hoped for. Perhaps it's just the basic idea of THE INCREDIBLES as a family of superheros that has me seeing the cover of Fantastic Four #1 in Four Color motion!!

One more year... one more year... one more year...

THE INCREDIBLES sounds wonderful. I think I'm going to shut my eyes and plug my ears until this comes out. I don't want to know anything about it. I just want to walk into that theatre and get blown away. It's been a long time since I've had that experience... Yummmmm...

Oops! Didn't mean to forget Teddy Newton and his work on "The Incredibles." Fantastic stuff.

Sorry you'll have to wait a year or so before this film comes out. But, I promise you it'll be worth the wait.

I'm a HUGE Brad Bird fan, and I can't wait for this film. Is there an estimated date for the teaser to show up in theaters? Or are they aiming at a specific movie premiere, like The Matrix Reloaded?

Indeed. Steve Jobs made the announcement at Showest. The teaser for THE INCREDIBLES will run with FINDING NEMO on May 30th. Animated Movies has the release date as Holiday 2004, so it'll probably be a November release. Drat! We're still OVER a year away... it makes me sad...

Unless it's the best kept secret ever, I'd say no. Now, that doesn't discount the idea of them doing 3d for 2d, but I highly doubt that... It's a 3d film, but expect some interesting visual differences as hinted at vaguely by those fortunate individuals above.

Nope, it's very much a 3D film. However, expect a Pixar film like you've never seen before.
