A.N. Night - August 31th

Hi everyone and I hope you're staying cool during these dog days of Summer 2010.

I'm very happy to report that we'll be having the Big Daddy of Animation as our very special guest this coming AN Night on Tuesday evening, August 31.

That's right, animation veteran Lenord Robinson will be with us! A great animator who's been at Disney Features, Ralph Bakshi, Warner Bros, Nickelodeon, Universal, Marvel, and many more studios. His experience in animation goes all the way back to 1976 and he's still going strong.

When it comes to animation, Lenord is a treasure trove, and you wouldn't want to miss a chance to meet this fascinating and charismatic talent.

Lenord's website:

In addition to Lenord Robinson, we'll be experiencing the company of long time pro and background designer / modeler / environmental designer / concept artist Philip Dimitriadis - the only and only!

Here's a link to his site:

That's Lenord Robinson and Phil Dimitriadis this coming AN Night!

WOOOOOOOOOOO DOGGY! My life just became that much more intense and fun! I've been M.I.A. here at because of my new venture, Yes, thats right, I have my own store front. Gallerie and Boutique right here in Los Angeles! I'm the Director and Featured artist and I'm quite excited. We're filling up our walls with cool art, and starting to produce some dope merchandise around that art! We just had our opening and you can watch it here.

Petra Gallerie is looking for you! I'd like to carry local Indie creators books and merchandise. So if you got something you want me to see, hit me back at!

I'd also like to acknowledge the passing of one of my bestest friends in the world. My cat, Fishbone. R.I.P buddy, I love you dude. 1993-2010. I guess with the good comes the bad. Which makes me feel like Petra Gallerie is gonna be awesome since I lost such an awesome spirit in my life.

Looking forward to reconnecting with AnimationNation friends at this next AN Night where we're gonna be serving you a double portion of artistic goodness! It's appropriate temperatures are rising because this next AN Night is gonna be HOT!

They call me Mista' Bite!

This Tuesday is going to be a very filled up night in more ways than one. Our minds will be filled with a constant stream of art and information. For those that eat pizza your stomachs will be filled with it.

What else will be filled? The seats will be filled with good people. The visible spectrum that humans can see will be filled with electromagnetic radiation. The "invisible" spectrum will be filled with ultraviolet, and near, medium, and far infrared... but none of those wavelengths will matter to anyone unless you are a bumblebee or another kind of creature that can see through one of those optical windows. Do you ever wonder what flowers must look like to bumblebees? Or what the whole world would look like if you could only see ultraviolet waves? At least then you'd be able to see the UV rays coming from the sun as they are burning you.

Where am I going with all this? On a tangent? Or did I just follow the stream of random thoughts as they flowed out? I didn't say that much, but to me that is the process that ignites the essence of creativity. To start creating, you have to just let it stream out and flow with it.

So join us if you can, as we venture into the known unknown territories that we may or may not be able to see appearing before us.
