If you've been waiting for a look at what Disney's next animated feature will be like here it is. The thaw is over as they've has broken the ice and uploaded the first trailer for the movie. There's two ongoing Forum topics dedicated to "Frozen". This one showcases art from the time is was called "The Snow Queen". On April 12 2013 I posted an entry about a new animation art gallery coming to Burbank California. Two months later I'm happy to report that Center Stage Gallery is now open to the public!
Center Stage is the brainchild of Tina Price who's the founder of CTN (Creative Talent Network) and the CTN animation eXpo which is hugely popular and has become the premier event for animation artists worldwide. The artist in residence for this month is Peter Clarke who is a visual development artist for feature animation working mostly with Blue Sky Studios and Walt Disney among others. His art is beautiful, intriguing and inspiring.

At the start of my career I was employed at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City Missouri. One of my supervisors was a great veteran of the company. His name was Rich Rudish and he was especially renowned for his wonderful paintings of Arabian horses. Rich had a boy who even as a youngster was showing signs of outstanding talent. Today I'm sure that Rich would be very proud to know that his son Paul Rudish is one of the leading artists in all of the animation industry with a long list of credits in TV and is currently the Executive Producer and Director of the next incarnation of Mickey Mouse coming to the Disney Channel on June 28 2013...
